The Manitoba Multi Fuel (MMF) is a Canadian product developed by Quality Manitoban Products (QMP)of Manitoba. The MMF,
one of the first of its kind introduced to the North Americans market, had three years of testing prior to its release. This
product is able to fill the needs of the many consumers who have expressed their concerns over increasing costs of conventional
fuels such as natural gas, propane, fuel oil and electricity.
The owner of QMP, with 25 years in sales, manufacturing, and the outdoor furnace industry, felt that the added safety of
an outdoor furnace that burns alternate fuels at lower costs was necessary, and should be available at an affordable price.
This product is also acceptable to use where outdoor wood furnaces are restricted due to the emissions they release. Thus
the MMF, a non-pressurized outdoor boiler designed to burn fuels that would flow, and able to be agured, was born.
At present, corn, and wood pellets are the main fuels being used with inquiries as to grains, sunflower seeds, wood chips
and cherry pits. Tests have shown that fuels need to have a 14% or less moisture content, like other products that burn similar
fuel, to maintain ignition in the shut down stages.
The MMF has the ability to control as little as a 2 degree, on/off firing to maintain fuel glow, as well as an automatic
shut down in the event of a fuel or fire out situation. The fire carburetor has 70 air jets for burning performance, and a
fuel mixing system to enhance a complete burn and to reduce clinkers. This product also has a built-in, 26 bushel hopper complete
with a vari-speed auger feed and adjustable air control, all mounted in an easily accessible panel for customer tuning.
